BIOGRAPHY OF DIAN DELA GBEDEMAH – HEAD OF THE HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT
Diana Dela Gbedemah was born on 11th August, in Kumasi.
She began her professional journey as an Assistant Human Resource Manager in the Efutu Municipal Assembly on 10th January 2013. Months later, she was posted to Shai Osudoku District Assembly.
After gaining valuable experience, Dela was posted to Adentan Municipal Assembly, where she was promoted to Human Resource Manager, she was responsible for a range of HR functions, including performance management, training and development, and employee engagement. Her passion for understanding human behavior and organizational dynamics led her to further her education in a Master of Philosophy in Industrial / Organizational Psychology. Dela holds several Human Resource Management certificates. She is a proud St. Monican.
She is currently the Head of the Human Resource Department of the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly. She has been instrumental in modernizing HR practices and spearheading several initiatives to enhance employee engagement and professional development.
MANDATE OF THE HR DEPARTMENT
The Human Resource Department of the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly is tasked with the strategic management and development of the Assembly’s workforce. The Department is mandated to ensure the recruitment, retention, and development of a highly qualified and motivated workforce who supports the Assembly’s goals.

• Promote positive employee relations
• Undertake organizational development activities
• Develop and Implement Human Resource policies and ensure compliance
• Design rewards and awards schemes
• Manage occupational Health and Safety of employees
• Handle disciplinary issues
• Manage employee welfare etc.
VISION OF THE HR DEPARTMENT
The vision of the Human Resource Department of the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly is to strategically manage the human capital of the Assembly by promoting a friendly working environment with a common aim of achieving the Assembly’s set goals.
